Great bang per buck

While this board is primarily targeted at business and institutional use (which implies that reliability was emphasized in its design), it's also ideal for general purpose home and student computers, at a price that can't be beat. I bought two boards, along with $70 E5400 CPUs, to upgrade a couple of old eSystems boxes at minimal cost and ended up with very nice machines that I'd use for anything short of high-end gaming. I plan to buy another one for a home theater PC.Although the Socket 775 series is not Intel's latest and greatest, it continues to support a wide range of processors, from Celeron to Quad core. It supports up to 8 GB of memory, 4 SATA 3 Gb/s drives, 8 USB 2.0 connections, 6-channel audio, and gigabit LAN. Quite an impressive and complete package for 60 bucks.

No complaints

Got this to make my HTPC after acquiring some parts from a mostly dead computer. It's powering a Core 2 Duo e7200 with 4GB RAM running Windows 7. I have no complaints about it what-so-ever. It's been stable, quick, easy to configure, etc etc... My only slight gripe would be with the lack of ports. No HDMI, no optical/digital out, few USB ports(4 on the rear, two headers). Of course this board is aimed more for the "corporate" user who needs a solid board but I'd still like the USB ports if nothing else... But those gripes aside, it's a great 775 board.One little side note, I've recently repaired a board very similar to this one (P5QL). It had about 5 bad capacitors on it, and given the bios revision, was only about a year old. I'm hoping this was from a faulty power supply but it's hard to say for sure. I'll update the review if I ever have probables with my board.
