Nice project board for.... Everything.

Wow, What a great product. This XBee board is just the thing I needed for my project. I am a ham radio operator, and attempted to interface my Kenwood TS-690s ham radio to the computer so I could use digital modes and automate the morse code sending and receiving. This board features the FTDI FT232RL chip, which allows you to interface serial communications to other devices or IC Chips for most projects. My radio features a Negative TTL signal, and this particular chip is capable of reversing the signal so the computer can connect. The breakout board itself features a power, TX, and RX LED that is real handy for my application. Also includes an onboard reset button, and several types of sockets onboard for connecting your project.

I don't know how well the XBee part works. I've only used it as an extra place to run jumpers. This is a switchable 3.3v/5v USB to serial adapter. At the time of purchase it was easily the cheapest Fulfilled-by-Amazon FT232RL breakout, and at that it excels.
