Installed it in 20 minutes and it worked great. No issues at all. I would suggest finding a detailed video on replacing the m1330 motherboard if you plan on doing it yourself. There are a bunch of little cords and parts you must remove/replace for it to work as expected.

I had my concerns about changing the motherboard in my Dell XPS M1330 laptop. Every-time I have had to work on a laptop in the past something always got damaged, usually one of the odd connectors. However in this case, there are very good resources on the web on how to take the M1330 apart and put it back together.When the M1330 laptops were introduced, they were plagued with video chip failures (Dell even extended the warranty). My laptop performed well way past the warranty period, but the video chip was the weak part that finally failed.The motherboard arrived extremely well packaged. It took me less than an hour to swap the board and restore the laptop. The replacement board came with the updated G83-631-A2 Nvidia video chip. My original motherboard had the G83-630-A2 video chip.The laptop booted right up with no problems after the motherboard exchange. Its alive!
