This is a great little board but has its limits. It is power friendly, has no CPU fan (good for HTPC), and runs cool (so you can keep it inside an entertainment center without worry of overheating).There are no video drivers for Win 7/Vista/XP/WHS 2011 64bit which is an annoyance. 32bit OS's are ok but 64bit is out of the question if you are wanting video. If you are looking for the D2700 for a low power desktop replacement or HTPC and want to run 64bit, go with the Zotac board when it is released.I was surprised that there were only 2 onboard SATA ports. This is fine for a HTPC or small desktop machine but for a Home Server or NAS, you would need to add a RAID controller to get more ports with better transfer speeds. There is a built in mini PCI-X slot that I didn't use and probably won't. I would have rather seen Intel give me 2 more SATA ports vs this expansion port.I loaded WHS 2011 on this board and it runs great. For a small Home Server or NAS appliance, this will do the trick with room to grow (assuming you add in a raid controller).The BIOS is not UEFI which was a surprise since most new boards are going that direction.Overall I am impressed with the new D2700 for what I am using it for. However, if you need something that will edit or transcode video (ie PlayOn or Media Extender) or basic gaming go with an Intel i3 or the new A series from AMD.

As of the 29th of May 2012, there is no proper linux support for the on board graphics for this motherboard. There's a driver being developed currently but it doesn't support all the features of the on board graphics.This will be a good low power board to use for linux when the graphics driver are supported.Also I had to do a bios update before it would see two memory chips. I still can't get it to see anything I plug into the mini PCI express slot. I've tried several SSDs and for testing reasons I tried 4 different wifi adapters. Not sure if it's a bad port or incompatible with the hardware I have.

Intel is no longer supporting this motherboard. We bought 3 of them because of problems we were having. Unfortunately, our problems are now worse. We are going to have to do more research and find out what will work.
