It's my first purchase of motherboard for my first DIY PC, but I have at least basic knowledge in PC, as I used to be involved in product management for a PC line a few years ago. Having said that, I had no problem in physical installation, which might be because previously I repaired a few PCs of mine and others'. Also after about three weeks of running, it supports all the function of my PC pretty well with cool temperature. However, I cannot say that this motherboard is perfect. I had to search the MSI site and google long time to solve mysterious beeping sounds upon booting. All the search results were either unclear, or contradictory each other, and I had to ask for help from MSI technical service. Although they were courteous and kind, they couldn't provide working solution, either because they couldn't think on the level of regular user like me (their instruction was not step-by-step, but a generic description how to update BIOS), or they didn't pay real attention to non-critical BIOS issues. To make it worse, MSI Live Update 5 couldn't locate its latest BIOS, and kept showing the current BIOS was up to date, although MSI BIOS list on their website has at least 3 newer versions. Eventually, through trials and errors, I managed to flash BIOS to the latest one, 1.C, and now two beeps are gone, but one beep still remains. I guess I have to live with it, since the PC is running smoothly, but I wish MSI had made their live update software in working condition, or had repaired the beep issue before putting it on the market. I found there are more people with the sames problem, but seems that no one quite got a satisfactory resolution.

Its great i have few works like a charms besides a few hiccups... since i live outside the US its very costly to get a replacement...Two hiccups1 my mouse n keyboard freeze up doing heavy gaming. seems to have been resolve or it happens less frequently after the bios update.2 The POST shows very large most of the time and dont fully fit the screen, and when its like that i cant navigate during the BIOS.Besides that it works great cant talk about the 1 sec overclock. Since i dont have a discreet card as yet.But i love the board its great

I bought this board 4 months ago for a PC I was building and I love it. It's got plenty of room for everything I've needed to add, runs very well, makes it very easy to access and adjust the BIOS, and didn't cost a fortune. Overall I'm quite happy with it.
