The HDC-I2/C-60 supports AMD the new Brazos platform and is based on the AMD Hudson D1 A45 chipset combined with the latest dual core processors C-60 with AMD Radeon HD6290, combing processing power and DirectX 11 in one small energy-efficient package with an integrated DDR3 1066/800 memory controller. With ECS EZ intelligent utilities (eBLU, eDLU, and eSF) which offer a convenient way to control fan speeds and keep all your drivers and BIOS up-to-date. The HDC-I2/C-60 provides the optimized performance with energy efficiency and a significantly lower cost.

Just Great If It Works!!!

I just wanted to thank the folks in the Customer Service Department for taking care of things with this transaction. What started out as a complete mess somehow worked itself out and made a true believer that Amazon stands behind their product and their service is second to none. Thanks guys!Took me less than an hour to install this motherboard in a new case also purchased from Amazon. The primary purpose was to replace an old Dell Dimension 2400 which was not only obsolete but incredibly difficult to upgrade due to the many propriety parts such as power supply, motherboard etc. I could only salvage the hard drive and the case fan which was used on this new build from ECS.This is an incredible motherboard in terms of simplicity and function. We are running Ubuntu 12.04 and using it to watch movies on Hulu. I just have to say that I have been watching almost non-stop videos for the last two hours without much delays because of buffering. Of course while not absolutely perfect, the frequent commercials tend to slow things down at bit. However, once you return to the main feature, it is almost non-stop viewing which is something I haven't experienced with Atom based processors.Currently, I am only running 4 GB of ram which performs pretty well for my purposes. I do have another 4 GB which will be added tomorrow to see if there is any performance improvement. Can't really do any damage by trying.I honestly, would like to order another motherboard as a spare given that it is so easy to install. Boot up time was more than satisfactory considering that this is a lower end motherboard. In closing, if you are using Ubuntu or some other distro and don't want to spend at lot, give this board your best consideration. Windows XP should work but I would advise caution using Windows 7 or 8. I will leave that up to someone else to leave their opinion.1/20/2013Just some minor observations. I did not notice this before but be aware that there are no PS2 ports for older keyboards and mice. You may have to get some USB/PS2 adapters. Otherwise, the older PS2 ports have been replaced by 2 usb ports.Heatshink is equipped with a small 40mm x 40mm CPU fan which is a nice extra.2/6/2013: Ordered a second motherboard since the first one worked so well. However, manufacturer seems to have some quality control issues. Intial purchase was great. The second one well, not so great since it would not power up or boot. Absolutely, no video. DOA.Finally got a replacement motherboard for the second purchase. Boot up and video worked fine and experienced no problems. However, sata controller seemed to kill hard drive after two to five minutes. Windows XP and Ubuntu are able to get past splash screen but then hang and refuse to move. Substituted my working hard drive from my initial machine but still got same results. Reread the user manual several times to make sure I did not overlook a critical setting. Even subsituted new ram and different hard drives from my other computers that do work. Same result.In conclusion, really fine motherboard if it works the first time. However, with quality control issues as mentioned above, you may well either take your chance or choose something else more reliable.
