This motherboard works perfect if you're looking to upgrade your system one step at a time or if you're looking to build a computer with DDR3. I ran an Intel Pentium Dual Core e6700 3.2ghz processor in this one and it can handle Core 2 Duo's and Quad's. What it can't handle though is Pentium D processors so beware if you're buying it just for that processor.This motherboard plus PNY 4GB DDR3 Ram will run you both at $80 which is a good deal. If anything you can build a nice system for less than $200 possibly $150 with this motherboard and PNY Ram.

Foxconn intel G41MX-E motherboard has problems with pentium D CPUs. I was not able to get any post from the motherboard. The technical specs say it supports it but it is not true. I called Foxconn tech support due to the issue and they said it is not supported. Only good for core2 dual and new 775 sockets CPUs. Foxconn does not provide a list of CPUs supported in their web site and the documentation is very poor. Other motherboard venders do a better job than Foxconn.

I got this as a replacement for a burnt out motherboard for an Intel core duo. I did not want to get a whole new computer just because the motherboard died.It was relatively easy to replace, instructions came in multiple languages and had huge pictures/diagrams.Only down side is that the FD cable port was rather far away from the front panel. Instructions for the front panel led cable connections need to be followed very carefully.
