For all of you who, like me, like both AMD and nVidia, this is the one board you want to buy. You may also consider the alternative MSI NF980, but this Asus board has much better reviews in most other computer dedicated websites.I built my new computer with the help of a buddy-and-computer-tech who has been assembling computers since I was in elementary school, and he praised the quality of the components and the overall build of the board. I've heard others complaining about the metallic I/O panel included in the box, calling it flimsy. You won't really see anything wrong with it once it's properly placed in the back of your case. It does however come with annoying metallic flaps that you better remove/cut. In general terms, the board is heavy (an indicator of good components), very solid and mine came with the updated 1101 BIOS from Asus, which officially supports Phenom II X6 processors.Like other Asus boards, this one comes with a passive cooling solution using heat pipes that cover Northbridge and Southbridge, another plus.The rear I/O's are sufficiently good but nothing too great. It has everything for your basic needs: 6x USB 2.0, eSATA, FireWire (IEEE 1394), Coaxial, SPDIF, even PS2 ports. No onboard video of course, so be aware of that.I used a Thermaltake Contac 30 CPU cooler, which is pretty tall and wide and it doesn't block any RAM slots. It does hover over the left-most slot, but it should still be usable.I bought 8 GB Corsair RAM (CMX8GX3M2A1333C9) rated at 1333 MHz misguided by the "official" RAM support, but should have gone higher since you can choose an O.C. profile for 1600, 1800 and more RAM frequency. Although this model is not in the QVL it was automatically detected at the specified frequency and timings without an issue. It took a few seconds to POST on the first try, but after that it is POSTing very quickly.I do have a few complaints: 1) It only has 4 usable SATA II ports when in IDE emulation mode. 2) The location of the SATA ports is terrible, the cables almost touch my hard drives in an Antec 902 V3 case. This is probably to save space, but could have been better. 3) The layout of the expansion slots is not the best. My GeForce GTX 560 Ti placed on the upper PCI-E slot covers the upper PCI slot and leaves the lower PCI slot unusable. My solution was moving it to the lower PCI-E slot, since my Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro is PCI. If I go SLI, I'd have to get a new audio card too.Overall this is a great board, and one of two options if you intend to do AMD+SLI. Asus is known for their quality products, so you won't be dissapointed with this one. The BIOS has a lot of overclocking options, but from what I've heard you may experience some voltage drop in high overclocks. All in all, highly recommended if you are into AMD+SLI.

It works perfectly, i didn't have any problems with the procesor AM3 Phenom II X6 3.2Ghz, or the RAM 6Gb (3 dimms of 2 G each) and a video card EVGA GeForce GTS450 SuperClocked 1 GB GDDR5. I also got a sata DVD and a HD. I got to install this motherboard on 2 different cases same configuration.The problem was that the SATA and IDE slots are at very edge of the MB. The cable won't fit if the case is too tight or in my case, the hard drive bays were too close to the MB and it wouldn't allow me to "connect" the sata cable. I literally had to dismantle that part (hard drive bay) to get it plugged in. Thankfully the SATA connectors have a lock to tight the connector to the plug and it helped to avoid any movement.Putting this aside or considering that you are going to install this MB in a huge case it runs smoothly and fast.The temperature and the fan controls is very easy and simple to use. It has a Bios control and a software (windows) that allows you to change the speed the performance with one click.I haven't used the overclocking features just yet i haven't need to so far but as soon as i do i will post an update.

I give this mobo 5 stars for ease of intall and also the software bundle. If you got a AM3 CPU and want to run Nvidia SLI or just single card this board is for you! Very easy to over clock tons of features perfect for amd/nvidia hybrid.
