I've had this motherboard for about 4 days now. After removing my old MSI 780G motherboard (which is SATA II and only supports DDR2 RAM) and installing this one, it wouldn't turn on at first. The LED light on my PC power button came on so I knew that there was power going through the motherboard but nothing else would come on. After several hours of frustration I noticed that I had connected the CPU 4-pin power cable the wrong way!!! This was totally my fault and not anything to do with the motherboard. In fact the motherboard has a little "hook" so you know when you connected it the right way and it snaps in with a little "click". Sure enough when I connected it the right way it posted immediately, to my great delight.Maybe the other people here and on Newegg who bought this board and said it was dead on arrival, maybe they connected something wrong like me. Another issue they may have is that you have to look at each pin on the power button cable to make sure you connect it to corresponding pins on the Front Panel Connection (a.k.a. the power button connection) on the motherboard itself. Since my case is a from an old HP Pavilion PC, my Power Button cable is two-rows of 5-pin slots with only 4 wires in one row and 2 wires in the other. Each wire is for specific things such as: + and - ON and OFF functions (this turns the PC on and off when you push or hold the power button respectively), + and - Power LED (this is just the glowing light on the power button and in my case it's blue), + and - HDD LED (this is the orange light that blinks whenever the hard drive is being accessed). You have to make sure you connect each slot on the cable to its corresponding pin on the motherboard.I bought this motherboard with Patriot Gamer Series 2 (DDR 3 1600 RAM) and paired them with Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition CPU, XFX Radeon HD 6750 GPU, and Patriot Pyro 120GB SSD, all of which I already had before. SATA III speeds are much faster than SATA II. My PC now boots up in about 15 seconds (from the moment I push the power button to the Desktop loading and being fully responsive). Compare that with 24 seconds with my old SATA II motherboard and DDR2 800 RAM.My Windows Experience Ratings are as follows (just for the heck of it):Processor: 7.4 (O.C. at 3.7 GHz, 7.3 at default 3.2 GHz speed)Memory (RAM): 7.5Graphics: 7.3 (O.C. at 730 MhZ Clock and 1180 MhZ Mem. 7.2 default)Gaming Graphics: 7.3 (O.C. at 730 MhZ Clock and 1180 MhZ Mem. 7.2 default)Primary hard Disk: 7.2O.C.= overclocked

Installation no problem,Motherboard you had to add CPU and DDR3 memory(2[4MG])Unit works Ok....If You have IDE harddrive or IDE CD,DVD or Floppy drives do notbuy this Motherbroad. Only compatible with SATA drives

It has all the features a person could need. Only con is two out of the four on-board usb don't work. Other than that it is a great motherboard. I like the look and setup of the board.Installed a fx-4100 on it
