The quality of this motherboard is unquestionable. It has a lot of great features like overclock tools, the X-Fi sound card and many more.The biggest problem here is the use of the two PCI-E slots for a Nvidia SLi configuration. As the slots are positioned too close to each other (due to the little size of the motherboard), it is very hard to get acceptable temperatures with two powerful video cards. Actually both cards stay with less than a centimeter between each other. I tried doing a SLi with two Gigabyte GTX 460 and the upper VGA was exceeding 100C, and eventually shuting down the whole systemDone all sort of test like changing cards and putting extra fans in the case, nothing really worked.So I would totally recommend this motherboard for those people that won't think on making a configuration with two video cards. Otherwise choose a bigger mobo with more space in between the PCI-E slots.

Most motherboards of the past in the mATX form factor have usually been budget/value boards. That is not true with this board. This is easily as good if not better than most full size atx boards.If your the kinda person that only uses a single or even dual card config and dont require the size or the extra ports that an atx board can give you then your going go to love this.I have this installed in a Antec P180 mini case. The combo is excellent.I have currently a single HD5770 graphics card but both the case and mobo allow a 2nd card to be added.I currently have a i5 750 overclocked to 3.43Ghz without upping the voltage on the cpu or anything else. It's super easy to overclock your system in the bios.The extra features I dont really care for as long as the system is stable on my current overclocked settings.Would I buy this again? I would love to.Get this if you want a real system in a mATX case.

Well I decided to make a small(ish) build for performance, gaming, and leisure.Antec mini p-180Asus maximus iii gene (this board)4x2 gb gskill 1600 ddr3 rami7 875k intel processorThermalright Ultra 120 heatsink /w fannvidia gtx570 graphics cardlinksys wireless adapterEverything fits easy, no problems getting the mobo to recognize the processor or ram, bios is laid out well. If you get an old revision of the board, you can update using an included ez flash utility. Also, I was able to put the ram in and then fit the heatsink horizontally on the board (so that you cannot pull 1-2 sticks of the ram out w/o removing the heatsink).One thing I did want to mention, is that the receptor pins in the cpu socket are all uniformly slanted. They don't stick straight up(atleast mine didn't), but slant towards each other. I thought I got a bad board, until everything worked without a problem.And don't stick the usb into the 1394 slot ;)
