5Awesome Board!
By Jmiah22
I did a lot of research prior to building my new system and discovered that EVGA has some of the best products. All products come with a LIFETIME warranty (you absolutely cannot beat that these days)! You *DO* need to register your product within 30 days to receive the lifetime warranty but I do not see the big deal about that. The first board I ordered through Amazon came with the northbridge heatsink bent. I returned the board to Amazon and purchased another. The second one arrived with the northbridge heatsink bent even worse. I am not sure who Amazon's supplier is, but was told by the manufacturer that somebody somewhere along the line is damaging these boards. Both boards arrived with the quality assurance seals broken and the anti-static bags that the boards are in were unsealed, then resealed (there were shreds of the original sticker left behind.) I do not know who or why anybody would need to open these motherboards unless they had both been RMA's before and just resold as new. I finally had to RMA through EVGA to get an undamaged board. They have great service, I cannot recommend EVGA enough, they put up with a lot from me getting this straightened out and went above and beyond what I've ever had a company do for customer satisfaction. When you get an undamaged board they are AWESOME! The system I just built is based on this board with Intel Core i7 975E CPU, Corsair 12 GB DDR3 1600 Dominator RAM, Corsair P128 128 GB SSD, Corsair HX1000 PSU, Thermaltake Armor+ VH600LBWS case, EVGA GTX 285 graphics card, Auzentech HomeTheater HD audio card and two LG DVD/CDR combo drives.

5if you know what your doing, this board is great!!!
By Scott E. Robinson
i have had this MB for about a year. i have had no problems with it what so ever. when it was air cooled, it ran nice and cool even when its overclocked. now its under water, and runs super cool. :) running raid 0 again no problems at all. running 3 msi 5870's lightnings. this thing is a beast! best company and board around.

1Bad Board!
By Jeremy
UPDATE: I finally gave up and replaced the board with an ASUS Sabertooth X58. Same memory, same PSU, same CPU, same GTX 295's... and guess what?? My system runs perfectly now. I found it nauseating throwing a $400 MB in the trash, and I'm not sure I'll be using any EVGA products in the future. :(I've had nothing but problems with this board. It replaced an ASUS Rampage II Extreme because I intended to go to a 4-way SLI setup. Here are the problems:-The board stops during POST with a CPU checksum error. F1 to continue, DEL to enter setup. If I continue, the PC will turn off and no longer boot up until I physically remove/replace the ATX power connector in the motherboard. If I enter setup and manually set the clock frequency, and multiplier. It will boot into windows and function normally. Whenever a hard reset is done, this must be repeated.-Every time this is done, the time/date are reset to 2007.-Sometimes the board powers off when a USB device is plugged into it.In the past, I've had very good experiences with EVGA tech support. In fact, I love their graphics cards, and use them exclusively. However, tech support has been terrible with this board. They blamed the power supply (brand new corsair AX1200); the PSU is good. They blamed the CPU (worked perfectly before, and still works perfectly in another system), they blamed the battery, they insisted I remove the board from my system and test on a bench; my system is completely water cooled, and this takes HOURS of work; not to mention having to replace a ton of coolant, etc... Basically everything except taking responsibility for their product. I'm very disappointed with this product, and EVGA customer service. I've had a ticket open for almost a year. Since it's obviously a bad board, I will literally be throwing this board in the trash and replacing with an ASUS.
