Product Description
The Raspberry Pi (short: RPi or RasPi) is an ultra-low-cost credit-card sized Linux computer which was conceived with the primary goal of teaching computer programming to children. It was developed by the Raspberry Pi Foundation, which is a UK registered charity (Registration Number 1129409). The foundation exists to promote the study of computer science and related topics, especially at school level, and to put the fun back into learning computing.

The package came when promised; packaging was excellent and no damage to contents at all. Set up was very easy; all components work. When you order, you might want to check that you have the additional cable necessary to adapt to your monitor. If not, Amazon sells most of these cables at a very reasonable cost, ( HDMI Gold Male to VGA HD-15 Cable ), the local acquisition of this cable was five times the Amazon charge for the same component.Coming from the Windows environment I have always been apprehensive of the idea of Linux. In past experience I have found it to be troublesome at best to get a complete package working. With the pre-configured memory card everything was up and working as soon as I made all the necessary connections. This Linux implementation was problem free.
