I bought eight of these motherboards to build systems for a client. The client needed something inexpensive, stable and that had legacy inputs like a PS/2 keyboard and VGA. I paired each one with a Intel Celeron G530 CPU, Kingston ValueRAM 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 RAM, various SATA II hard drives and Asus DRW-24B1ST (Black) DVD burners all in the excellent Antec NSK4482B case.This motherboard was very easy to build with. The front panel connectors are labelled right on the motherboard, which is convenient. There is a CPU and chassis fan header. There are two RAM slots and 4 SATA connectors. There's plenty of room around the CPU for the heatsink. Everything was well spaced and laid out.Each motherboard booted right up with no issue and Windows 7 Professional x64 detected everything with no problems. The motherboard CD, like all the ASUS driver CDs I've used lately wants to install some bloatware, including this time Google Toolbar, but it's easy enough to opt-out. Pick InstallAll and then the customize drivers options. It'll let you uncheck Google Toolbar, Norton Antivirus and a couple of other thing not necessary.So far, this board has been everything I need for this client: inexpensive, stable, easy to work with and having all the inputs they need so they can save money by reusing their keyboards and existing monitors.

So far, very pleased with this motherboard. I've yet to be disappointed by ASUS and am once again satisfied that I received a solid product at a reasonable price. Although your options for upgrading in the future are somewhat limited, this is more one of those boards that you buy for a specific system -- not something you are periodically going to upgrade going forward.My goal was to build a new intel system for Battlefield 3 and keep the cost down. I paired this board with an i5-2400 cpu, 8GB of DDR3, and an AMD HD 6950 video card. Runs BF3 on high detail without any frame-rate issues and didn't break the bank to build.I'm a fan of the mATX form factor, and given that I have no plans to go Crossfire/SLI, it's a nice lower-cost, physically smaller platform than a full ATX gaming-centric board.Summary:Pros: - ASUS quality - Small footprint - Low cost - compatible with sandy-bridge/socket 1155 i3,i5, and i7 cpu's - 10/100/1000 LANCons: - Only two DIMM slots - No multiplier-based overclocking (due to the H61 chipset)

i have been an asus fan for many years and asus have never put me down yet since the first asus motherboard i have during the slot 1 era,p4800,1156 and now the 1155 era. so far i have no issues with my p8h61 motherboard right now with the intel i3 / 3.3ghz, it is too early to say, it is working fine so far since december 2010. If i could have waited long enough i could have bought the p8p67 model motherboard because it has potential and more room for upgrades and the price for the P67 board went down. So if your not in a hurry to built one, just wait for the price to go down. I put a 4 star because the price is a little bit high, and you can't overclock or play around with this motherboard, it is a simple straight forward motherboard and limited room for upgrade.
