Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard i made my computer with this board, amd4100 quadcore chip, 4g ram,windows7 home, 90g ssd and new optical drive for about $300. it flies. absolutelyno problems encountered so far. if you need more sata ports or firewire, buy the next board up, but for a basic system - you can't beat the price.

This board has no problems. I loaded it up with a AMD 8250FX 8 core processor and 32 Gigs ddr3 ram. Working great. Loaded all drivers it needed off the windows 8 disc without loading extra drivers at installation. It is a full size board, so make sure your case can handle it. No bios update needed to make it work with the processor. Just worked out of the box. Definitively the cheapest best board for the money and features!

It is a very reliable motherboard, the usb 3.0 works excelent even with usb 2.0 devices, it doesnt have any loose part, and it supports great pressure (I Have a water cooling system and a really big hd 6870x2 videocard), it supports 6Gb/s hard drives so my operating system boots fastThe only reason I rated 4 stars is because it has a single PCI-E 2.0 Slot runing at x16 speed, the other one runs at x4 speed so its a bad idea to buy 2 videocards and crossfire or SLI expecting to see a big improvement on performance
