I purchased this board for a new gaming build and had no problems with the hardware. It is very stable and boots to win7 in 18-22 seconds without a ssd. It recognises any of the peripherals I have plugged in and if needed windows searches out and downloads driver. I have sli'd two gtx 560 ti's and everything worked great. I have backed off to a gtx 550 ti from asus and can play bf3 on ultimate settings 1600x900 res with i5 2500k. Oc genie works like a charm but I didn't leave oc'd as there is really no need.The only con is getting all of the updates for bios, realtec and software etc. There is a really good live update program that scans and gives a list of current vs. available updates for everything. The problem is, there is a button to click to download and install everything as a package. You do not want to do this. You want to run the scan and then after each update is a download and install button. Do them all individually for better success. Overall it is a great board and the rebate is icing on the cake. If you get a rebate be informed it will be an Amer. exp. card with the cash value available. It will not work in atm, but you can use it anywhere that takes amer. exp.

The board is advertised to support Virtu but the Bios as of 02/20/2012 does not have a license installed so you can only run Virtu in a trial mode which is fairly useless. There are also issues with turbo boost which ups the multiplier on an i5-2500k by only 1 instead of 4. MSI customer service is really bad and after they suggest that you update the BIOS and that does not solve anything they just stop responding to your e-mails.If all of the above has not turned you off, you should know that when it comes to stability and overclocking this board is just fine. It overclocks my i5-2500k to 4.5Ghz with everything on auto and up to 4.8Ghz with some voltage and memory tweaks. Runs stable on Prime95. Intel SRT runs as advertised and I had the SSD accelerating a RAID 0 volume without a poblem. The BIOS is somehwat lackluster on features for a midrange board.Unfortunately I cannot give this model more than a single star since my sole reason for purchasing a Z68 board was to use Virtu.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Updated(05/10): Virtu now has a license with the latest BIOS(one star more for MSI for resolving it 3 months later). The turbo boost issue still remains unresolved.
