I used this in my first build. Overall, I'm very pleased with it. It's my oversight but my biggest issue is that this motherboard only has USB 2.0 headers (to hook up something like USB ports on the front of the case.)The board itself has 2 (I think) USB 3.0 ports but this is on the back.Anyway, that said -- it's a pretty good board. I'm not sorry I used it just sorry that I spent $10 extra on a case I can't use to it's fullest.The only other comment I have is that the x16 PCIe ports are lower on the board -- if I wanted to use a second graphics card (which is kind of the main point of a 990fx board , I'd probably have to use the 4x PCIe slot which is above or buy a new case.Note that this issue of mine has to do with a combination of the motherboard and the case (a Challenger U3). And for some, this is minor.On the positive side, my board came from amazon with the latest BIOs. I didn't have to do anything to the board to get it ready to take my latest generation FX-8350 processor.My build details:- This motherboard- FX-8350- Gigabyte Windforce 3 w/ AMD HD 7950 chipset graphics card- Corsair Vengeance DDR3 16 GB PC-1600 RAM- Challenger U3 Case- 680 watt power supply

No issues, plug and play basically. SATA connector locations work great when combined with a good tower that lets you hide wires.
