I took my time looking at forums and product reviews to select this MB. I am not a gamer but wanted a high end motherboard that had the latest features and would cary me over for a few years. This MB is part of a 100% new build, everything including power supply, case, CPU and memory. I have built my desk model computers forever and the last one an Asus P5E3 Delux was giving me a random BSOD and when I tried to upgrade the memory and add Win 7 64 bit it choked. Time for a new computer. This is it and what a great choice. Everything went together slick including an Antec Kuhler water cooler for the Intel I5 2500K CPU. Mated this with 16GB of Skill 1600 Ripjaws memory and powered up the system. Loaded Win 7 64bit onto the Kingston 120GB SSD and I was off. Added the drivers only from the MB CD, no extra junk for me. I have not had a chance to monkey around with overclocking this rig yet, but I will. The only problem with the build was the video card I purchased flaked out on me the first week. No big deal as the MB has HDMI and digital video out and runs my two monitors great. I will look around for another video card in the near future, no hurry. I have used Asus MB's for a very long time. I was a littel worried about changing over to ASRock but not any more. What a great MB this is, solid and smooth. I load Win 7 in less than 30 sconds from start up with the solid state drive I load programs as fast as if they were open already. My advice: Buy this MotherBoard, I did and I am smiling.

I was getting a code "55" and it was acting as if it wasn't recognizing my memory. (DDR3-1600).It turns out it was that I had an Ivy Bridge (3.3 Quad) Intel CPU Processor, and not a Sandy Bridge.After a small hint on new egg, I called their tech support number (from there website). I didn't get a phone system! I got a person.Within 13 minutes, they had my address and mailed me (USPS) a new BIOS chip that would support Ivy Bridge.(Your other option is to borrow a Sandy Bridge CPU, install it, update the existing BIOS and then reinstall your Ivy Bridge).After that, everything was fine.I'm running 2 SSD's in RAID1 setup (hardware raid from the motherboard).Its running fast, and I have mirroring backup.So a small ding for the frustration I had with my chip. It would have been nice if there was a "Supports Only Sandy Bridge" sticker somewhere in the original box.But nobody's perfect I guess.

Bought the board due to the great feature set for the price. Since day 1 I had issues with my computer not waking from sleep (running stock settings--no overclocking). Tried updating the bios, on 3 different occasions (each time a new version was released), but that never fixed the issue. Other than that, everything seemed fine, so I decided to just live with the issueas it seemed to be a minor inconvenience.After several months of use, my board just died. I sent it in and about 2 weeks later I got a micro ITX board back from ASRock as a replacement! Sent that back and finally got a true replacement. Took it out of the package, installed it, flipped the switch and--POOF--smoke and sparks near the CPU. Took everything apart, and found about 8-10 bent CPU pins in three different locations. I did NOT bend these pins, but shame on me for not checking before installing. Sent an email back to ASRock, and they denied allowing me to return the MB, telling me that I had caused the damage. Anyway, argued with ASRock for weeks and weeks and they were adamant I was out of luck. Finally got a call one night from the tech who inspected the board (at least that's what he claimed on the phone), and he was very apologetic and told me not to worry--they would take care of everything. Got a replacement and after installing it I found out the bent pin issue had fried my PSU, CPU, and hard drive. I'm now out about $350 in parts as well as months of down time for our main desktop computer.Given the incorrect board and the bent pins, it is apparent that the quality control at their repair facility is very poor. The positive reviews for the product seem to indicate that my defective board was an anomaly, so the manufacturer must have better quality standards in place. However, if something goes wrong--watch out! The warranty support for ASRock is plagued with issues. Due to this I will never buy from ASRock again.
