This is my third current household PC with an ASUS motherboard running things and they didn't let me down. Great pricing here on Amazon.com even before the $10 rebate card that was going on when I purchased it. There is a limited number of options for the F1 processors, but for the money with the expansion capabilities, USB 3.0, Sata 6gb/sec, 2x PCI-e x16, 2x PCI-e x1 and a couple of old school PCI slots, this board will fulfil my needs for a while.It took 8GBs of GSkill Sniper 1600mhz RAM, read the frequency correctly, but I had to manually set the timings to 9-9-9-24, auto had it set at 11-11-11-28, but easy enough. Not a huge fan of BIOS to begin with, rather not be in there messing around with stuff to begin with, so I am not sure that I appreciate the updated UEFI interface, but it is prettier than standard BIOS and full of options, but lost on me.Make sure you run the provided disc with drivers and such to increase the amount of allocated memory for the GPU, it started out with 16mb and once I ran the ASUS disc it allocated 512mb dedicated and up to 4gb shared, which should help with HD video and light gaming. Otherwise, it booted on the first shot, cable management was pretty decent even in the small form factor case I shoe horned it into, made appreciate the case a little bit more. Good feedback on temps and such, turned the case fans down to reduce noise, but not sacrifice air flow.All and all I am pretty happy with my build and plan on putting it through some test in the next couple days. I went with the A6-3500 triple core APU, it was just so much more affordable and if I get to the point where I don't feel it is satisfying my needs I can always upgrade, but with the reviews I have read it has some headroom for overclocking and I don't think I will miss the extra video processing with the light use it will see in our bedroom playing movies.

Board works as expected. I am using it for a media center PC with AMD A8-3850 APU with AMD Radeon 6550 HD Graphics 2.9GHz Socket FM1 100W Quad-Core Processor - Retail AD3850WNGXBOX and 16GB of RAM. The new BIOS is nice to use. Setup was easy.The only issue I have is when I switch inputs through my receiver from the PC to my cable box, then switch back the video is very flaky then. Lines and blocks show up all over the TV. Requires a restart to fix. If I make the computer sleep before I switch back and forth the problem does not show up. I suspect it has something to do with the lost communication through the HDMI.The board has very good power options, can underclock and overclock the CPU for efficiency.

The price is right, it looks nice, it has awesome ports (eSATA,USB3,Display Port). My first one was a dud (no video), but Amazon took care of it. The board works great with cheapo RAM not on the QVL. I stuffed 16GB of 1600mhz DDR3 in here with no issues. I had no troubles mounting an A8-3850.The board is large, and the 6 sideways SATA ports are not easy to use since they hide beside the drive bays in my case. The HD controller is a little finicky about drives and booting as I couldn't boot my OS when an add-in RAID card was plugged into a PCI port. I am not sure if my card has the issue or it is something else, but I suspect the board has some issue with the bootloader I am using since it doesn't show the normal OS selection screen for Linux Mint 11. It just boots all the way to the OS before you see anything. I have a lot of drives (6hd,1dvd) so I may be an unusual user here. This thing would have given me no headaches with just an optical drive and one HD though.The backplate is probably the nicest I have used. It is padded on the inside and has plastic over the back (no sharp edges!) with labels and colored borders. The display port is labeled "prot" on the back.If you are OK with an APU, this is the best bang for the buck to get a modern mobo since the AM3 boards are so dated right now.
