The seller's description lists this motherboard as being compatible with: CPU Socket Type: LGA775 CPU Type: Intel® Core(tm)2 Quad / Intel® Core(tm)2 Duo/ Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core / Intel® Celeron® Dual-Core / Intel® Celeron®which implies that it's compatible with all LGA775 Core 2 Quad processors. However, it was not compatible with my Core 2 Quad Q9300 2.50 GHz. Checking the Intel specification page for this motherboard, it lists the following as the only compatible Core 2 Quad CPUs: Q9550S, Q9400S, Q8400S, Q8200S. Note these are all 'S' processors, which denotes low power consumption. (They're rated for 65 watts vs. the 95 watt standard for other Core 2 Quad processors.)Everything I could see about this motherboard seemed fine. I installed it in a standard ATX case, and I loved all the extra room I had. (Screws aligned with micro-ATX backplane standoffs.) However, since I wasn't able to boot due to the compatibility issue, I can't comment about the BIOS, etc... I just wanted to give a caution for buyers to check the CPU compatibility list on Intel's site (I wish I could link it here, but links are stripped from reviews) before buying. Do not assume this motherboard will work with ALL members of the processor families listed in the technical details section.

The board is nice and worked well with my Core 2 duo, but started getting hot almost immediately. According to the BIOS readings the ICH temps were hovering around 88c, this is with the computer sitting at room temperature.
