UPDATE:This motherboard appears to not have any CPU's. If not, you will have to buy them as extras (unknown $'s). I bought my SE7501BR2 MB's from geeks.com and they came with CPU's installed. I thought that this MB was the same as geeks.com sells. Just be aware of this.I currently have 2 of these MB's running as servers for my home. One has been in service for over a year nonstop and has not skipped a beat yet. I run RedHat Linux 9 on one and Fedora 10 on the other. Both versions of Linux think that there are 4 CPU's on their MB and divide the work load between the CPU's. Rarely are all 4 processors working: generally they are running at 0 to 10% utilization which gives you a lot of processing power.The only difficulty with these MB's is their size. You will definitely need a PC case that can handle an eATX motherboard. Other than an eATX case, you will need an EPS PSU such as a Coolmax model M-500B (which I am using) and an EPS power cable extender to get the 8 pin power connector to the MB.The AIC79XXX SCSI onboard Bios handles RAID 1 easily (RedHat Linux 9 does not support the AIC79XXX for boot; but, Fedora 10 does). You will need to turn on HostRAID in the SCSI BIOS to get SCSI RAID functionality.There is not a Firewire header present on the MB so you will have to buy a Firewire addin card to get one, if you need it. Also, there is only 1 USB header.
