This motherboard has pretty good set of features. LGA775 (for Quad-core Intel), 2xDDR3 RAM slots (up to 1333), 1Gb LAN port, 8xUSB 2.0 ports, Realtek audio (with AAFP and SPDIF connectors). But... here is my story:Just to give you a bit of my background - I am professional sysadmin with almost 20 years of experience and pretty familiar with both hardware and various OS installations.LGA775 motherboard (Biostar) in my son's computer died and I needed a replacement. I have decided to go for this ASUS board, as it looked pretty good and fairly inexpensive. Ordered from Amazon, and it arrived pretty quickly. After I installed it to the computer, along with all drivers - it worked fine, except audio (rear analog port), even though all drivers were installed correctly and showed expected "High definition audio port" in Device Manager. I could not get ANY sound out of it, neither from Windows 7 nor from Windows XP, regardless of any settings (I tried different BIOS combinations, drivers, etc.). It simply remained silent.I ordered a replacement from Amazon - replacement also arrived quickly. Put it into computer - and got only some constant frequency (60Hz?) via audio out, but nothing else. It would even come from powered off box (but plugged to the outlet). Again, regardless of any setting, I could not get any real sound out of this motherboard.I decided to make a 3rd attempt - and ordered exactly the same motherboard from Newegg. It cost me few bucks more, but after I installed it, I finally got so heavily expected sound. Most likely, Amazon got some defective batch from ASUS. I am returning both defective ones back to Amazon.Just wanted to share with you my recent experience, but not sure how to rate it, though.5 stars for motherboard features + 1 star for ASUS quality control = 3 stars, which should be fair enough.

This mobo works great with the 1333 DDR3 RAM, and it really moves with the Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor E6600 3.06GHz 1066MHz 2MB LGA775 CPU - Retail BX80571E6600 . Certainly affordable, my old ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe fried after 10 years, and I needed a cheap solution, but good quality. Asus has always been reliable and affordable.My only complaint is the fact that this mobo has no CD-ROM support. (I have an IDE HDD and a SATA HDD, so I only have 3 SATA ports open) Solution? External CD-ROM drive. Not preferable, but you get what you pay for. I'd rather have a solid mobo with less functions than a flaky one with all sorts of adapters and plugs.

I buy this mainboard to upgrade my PC Game, easy to install, with 8gb of RAM and a Geforce GTX 560Ti has a great performance and works well, i recommend.
