This motherboard is great. It has all sorts of neat features in the UEFI bios, like updating the firmware from within the UEFI itself, among others (it's my first time buying a motherboard with UEFI and I'm pleasantly surprised). My favorite thing in this motherboard is how FAST it goes through POST.I bought this motherboard alongside the AMD A10 5800k (the highest end APU I can find). It runs it, but the issue is its 4 VRM (voltage regulator modules) which seem to overheat a lot when I run games on it, and as a result the motherboard throttles the CPU in an attempt to cool down the VRM modules. Temperatures reach 90-105C which is crazily high. I get the feeling that this motherboard wasn't exactly designed for high end A10 CPU's which is why I think I'm getting this issue.Right now I'm planning to get better cooling for the CPU as well as nipple heatsinks for the VRM.. Hopefully this will solve the problem I'm having.EDIT 1: While gaming, I've noticed that the framerate drops significantly for like 3 seconds before going back to normal. This is because the VRM's are overheating while trying to handle the high power demands of the A10, and as a result the APU underclocks itself. In order to get a more stable framerate and to avoid damage to the motherboard, for now I've decided to reduce the clock speed of the APU to 2.9GHz (from 3.8GHz). This can be done in the AMD Catalyst Control Center. This reduces overall performance, but the throttling issue is gone and the VRM's aren't overheating. Now I need to figure out how to cool this thing properly. Will update this post when I do.EDIT 2: A friend of mine says that people are reporting exploding capacitors from this motherboard, which kinda matches my experience. I think if I cool the VRM's better it shouldn't be a problem for me, but first I need to buy heatsinks

I read all the horror stories on the web ... But let me tell you about my experience...1. I bought 2 part thermal paste to really get the heatsinks to stick. only $5 and soooo worth it!!2. I had extra heat sinks from old vga installs... so I went to my bandsaw and fit EVERY cap and VRN or whatever the square ones are... I then set the heatsink usingh the 2 part thermal paste.3. I got a Corsair H70 with a super quiet 120mm fan. Now all heat is outside the case4. The powersupply is also outside the case (sitting on top of the computer case)5. I put a super quiet 80mm fan inside the case so I could have some kind of air movement over the heatsink.I cant tell its running because it is so quite.It is super FAST. Bootup is SICK FAST!!!I am running it at 4.2ghz. But since my CPU temp is only running around 35 - 40C, I guess I could try the 4.3 or 4.4 settings it has in teh coolest BIOS I have ever used. But really, I dont see a need for what I need this to do. It is perfect!!!!##########################################################################LINUX PEOPLE LISTEN HERE ###########################################################################################################################Ubuntu is currently having some crazy freeze issue with this board/chipset/cpu. I saved the error but figured it out specific to Ubuntu and used Debian instead. I tried 12.04/12.10/13.04 all i384 and 86_64 isos and every one had same error. Debian is flawless. I am using Linux Mint Debian Mate 86_64... as well as my trusted music partition of AV_Linux 6.0 that is Debian also.Might be fixed any minute.. who knows... but save yourself a headache if you freeze up on Ubuntu, try Debian. You will be happy!

The plastic of the socket is a handful of junk. I opened and closed it only two times and the socket is no more able to fixate the processor.
