The F2A85-M/CSM is the latest addition to the Corporate Stable Model family, allowing the user to have the ease of mind knowing that the product will have a guaranteed long lifespan (available for at least one year from the time the product is added to CSM), with an added perk of being a part of the Advance Swap Program (Advance Replacement with free one-way shipping, minimizing down-time). This motherboard supports the new AMD® A-series Accelerated Processor with AMD Radeon™ HD 7000 Series Graphics. This revolutionary APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) combines processing power and advanced DirectX 11 graphics in one small, energy-efficient design to enable accelerated performance and an industry-leading visual experience. It features Dual-channel DDR3 memory support and accelerates data transfer rate up to 5GT/s, and also provide Quad-GPU CrossFireX support. Using the new A85X FCH, is it designed to support up to 5 GT/s interface speed and PCI Express 2.0 x 16 graphics, and natively supports 8 SATA 6Gb/s ports and 4 USB 3.0 ports. RARE=> Small MoBo with 4 DIMM slots...I searched the internet for a MicroATX, FM2 socket motherboard and found the Asus AMD A85X. The A85X stood out with 4 x DIMM slots at 1866 MHz(overclockable to 2400 MHz). This allows for RAM expandability up to 64 GB (32 GB with DIMM technology available today).Fast Rig...I built a tower with this board, AMD A8-5600K APU 3.6Ghz Processor AD560KWOHJBOX quad-core apu (accelerated processor unit, analogous to cpu with AMD's new chipset architecture), Kingston Technology HyperX 8 GB Kit of 2 (2x4 GB Modules) 2133MHz DDR3 PC3-17000 Non-ECC CL11 DIMM XMP T1 Series Desktop Memory (KHX21C11T1K2/8X), Windows 8 Pro, and a pair of Crucial m4 128GB 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive SATA 6Gb/s CT128M4SSD2. It goes without saying that its fast. This mobo has a refined gui for it's BIOS menu teamed with other on-board features that brilliantly manage all hardware components.Stays Cool...This mobo was designed with built-in temperature probes that track the cpu/apu temp, and board temp. It comes with software to monitor these temps in real-time that allow the user to set the parameters for the fan voltage/rpm ranges.Overclocking...The companion software also allows the user to monitor the cpu/apu load (MHz) in real-time with one graph per cpu/apu core. While monitoring these stats, the user will see a button labeled "Auto-Tune". If you click this button, the board will take an inventory of itself and the attached hardware before presenting options for overclocking itself. My A8 apu was overclocked from the factory 3.6 ghz to 4.2 ghz.Multi-Display...This mobo ships with on-board AMD Radeon 7650D(when combined with AMD Trinity apu)graphics and AMD Eyefinity. This allowed me to attach two 1080p monitors (1 hdmi+ 1 dvi) to my machine without any additional graphics cards installed.Future Processors...This board is built around the FM2 socket. While researching FM2, it became apparent that AMD has several sockets simultaneously active on the market,(FM1,FM2, AM3+). I found that uncertainty in regards to whether or not FM2 would have future processors was the source of some bad reviews for boards and processors in the platform. It appears that AMD plans to continue developing around the AM3+ and FM2 sockets for most of 2013 while selling the last of the FM1 processors during Q4 2012.

Bought this as part of a sub $500 budget computer I built myself for Christmas to replace my dead netbook. Love the combination of easy auto setting along with detailed manual settings if desired. I used the autotune and my A6 5400K is now maxing out at 4300Mhz. I spent of lot of time shopping just the right motherboard that would be inexpensive now, yet allow me room to grow as I can afford to updrade parts of the system and think this one meets my needs beautifully. I mean, 64 GB of ram? 7 sata ports? VGA, DVI AND HDMI?I knew I wouldn't be getting a premium gaming computer with my budget, but FarCry 3 runs at 1920X1080 at a playable frame rate, so I'm happy.Price, Performance, Features, and expandability all combine to earn this 5 stars.

I installed this into my 3 year old HP Mid-Tower, bought new RAM (8 GB Kingston HyperX 1866), a new CPU (AMD A105800K) and voila! A new cheap system. Cost me about $270 in all, cheaper than buying a new PC from HP, and better, you get more bang for your buck. I didn't have to buy a card reader or DVD-ROM drive, hard drive, PSU or a case, so that saved me some money.I looked around for quite awhile for just the right board. I wanted one that would last a long time, not some cheap crap that would support only 8 gigs of RAM, this thing supports 64 GB (in 4 DIMMs)! So I know I'll get some years out of it before I even have to worry about upgrading (My old PC bought--$600--from HP in '09 was maxed out at 4 GB! A lot of good that does in 2012, huh?). USB3, HDMI, 8 channel audio (the sound is great!), SATA 6 GB/s (with plenty of ports)...it flies! And I also wanted a reliable name, and I've used ASUS before so I know they make a good board. And I couldn't argue with the price $95, a lot of the boards I looked at with all the features I wanted went for over $150--money I did not want to spend.The board comes with some good software to monitor your motherboard and CPU temperatures, and you can also upgrade your BIOS right from Windows with it.I recommend doing what I did, make use of old parts that you don't have to throw away and just buy what you really need, it saves you money, and at least you'll know what you've got in your system, unlike in HP, DELL, etc., good luck knowing or finding out what the upgrade-ability is in those systems. And hey, your friends will see your HP system and be none the wiser. Maybe they'll say, hey, you've had that computer for years, when you gonna buy a new one? Or you could say, hey, you like my new system? And they'll look at you like you're crazy and say, it looks just like the old one! To let them in on your secret could be fun.
