The H61H2-M2 is a LGA 1155 motherboard that combines the H61 Intel Chipset and the 2nd Generation Intel Core i3, i5, i7 and unlocked edition K-sku desktop processors to deliver new technologies and innovating capabilities. The H61H2-M2 is also 3rd Generation Intel Core ready and support Windows 8 allowing for upgradeability and smart performance. For system stability the ECS H61H2-M2 equips a VRD 12 compliant 5-phase power design and applied Solid capacitors on the CPU side. Furthermore, ECS ESD protection is utilized to prevent electrostatic discharge damage provides for longevity. Utilizing Intel HD graphics provides built in visuals and a rich set of features, including InTru 3D, Quick Sync Video and Clear Video HD Technology providing a superb visual experience. The ECS EZ Intelligent utilities include eOC, eSF, eBLU and eDLU which offers a convenient way to extract performance, save energy consumption and keep all your drivers and BIOS up-to-date. All together the H61H2-M2 provides a balanced system for all your computing needs.

I bought this motherboard from another site for really cheap after rebate. I tried to pair it up with an Ivy Bridge CPU but it didnt work initially. I had to borrow a friends Sandy Bridge CPU, install Windows, update the BIOS via ECS's program, then install my Ivy Bridge CPU. After that hassle, the board works fine. My only other issue with this micro ATX board is that if you use a longer video card, it will block 2 of the SATA ports. Probably not an issue since people buying this board will probably use the integrated video.If the motherboard worked with Ivy Bridge CPUs out of the box, this motherboard would be pretty solid for the price. However due to the hassle of getting the BIOS updated first when using Ivy Bridge processors, it should be avoided if you dont have access to a Sandy Bridge CPU. However, ECS may have updated the BIOS since then.

Like: Low price, HDMI support.Dislike: No uefi, out dated drivers.Good low price motherboard but unexperienced builders can have hard time installing drivers.

This motherboard is not the top of the line. But not everyone needs the top of the line or is willing to spend the money required to get a high-end motherboard. The ECS H61H2-M2 motherboard contains higher-end features such as an HDMI interface, support for up to 16GB of RAM, a Gigabit network interface (not 100Mb/s as listed here on Amazon), and support for Core i7, i5 and i3 processors. In addition, it has some nice convenience features such as the ability to flash the BIOS from within Windows, and a fan speed adjustment utility (for when you need a quieter fan - such as when building a home theater PC).For under $50 this motherboard has a lot to offer.I had no problems or surprises when installing the motherboard and it is working great! I would definitely recommend this motherboard.
