The ASUS P8H61-I R2.0 motherboard features the Intel H61 chipset supporting the 2nd Generation Intel Core i7/Core i5/Core i3 Processors in a mini-ITX form factor. In a nutshell: A capable budget ITX motherboard for Sandy/Ivy Bridge.What it is: It's a mini-ITX motherboard made by Asus.Pros: Painless setup. Gigabit Ethernet and PCI-E x16 slot, as well as USB 3.0 (albeit provided by third parties--drivers are included on the included disc, though). Small size. Relatively good layout. Button battery is easily replaceable. Windows 8 and Ivy Bridge capable. 4 SATA sockets. HDMI out.Cons: Limited to 16GB memory and PC3-1333. No native chipset for USB 3.0 and Gigabit Ethernet. ITX means it's going to be very, very cramped to set up. No SATA 6.0GB support--don't bother with expensive SSDs. No built-in wireless or mPCI-E.Comments: Using it with Antec Mini Skeleton. The 24-pin power socket is very close to the USB out on the front. If your Windows 8 installation is very unstable, update the motherboard to the latest BIOS.Conclusion: Put it in your next HTPC; it'll do everything you want to do with it--Netflix, streaming, AVI/Blu-Ray playback, etc. With the PCI-E, gaming is not out of the question, either. Just mind the SATA limitation if fast SSD access really is a big deal for you.

Received this mobo DOA. Amazon was great and accepted my return, but I just overall didn't like the motherboard. This mobo barely fit into my case, and just didn't feel very well built at all. Personally, I'm not a fan of the layout of the CPU as in most cases this pins the CPU heatsink right against the power source; I feel like it could have been designed better.What really kills this motherboard for me though, is the ASUS customer service. I tried contacting them via their live chat system, and had to fill out more information than is on my yearly taxes just to do an online chat with one of them. Then, after filling everything out, was given an error message, in korean! After that I closed the page and sealed the return box.
