I purchased nearly 100 of these boards over the last few months from a number of different online retailers. They're really quite nice, particularly for offering some fixed legacy ports, though I wish they supported an internal USB3 header. *However*, about 60% of the boards I was shipped had a BIOS revision that was old enough that they would not even attempt to boot with an Ivy Bridge CPU installed. Those three 1-second beeps followed by a 3 second pause immediately on power-on? That's not the beep of bad RAM but the beep of "hunt down a Pentium G530 so you can flash me."If I were a lone hobbyist or first time builder, that would've been an insurmountable issue and buyers should be aware that the potential for a problem does exist.

Particularly liked the color-coded sticker for determining header connections. The last few motherboards I have ordered did not include one of these.Agree with previous reviewer that internal USB3 would have been nice. Great aside from that.Check [...] to make sure your CPU is compatible, since non-compatible CPU with old bios will not boot until you flash bios using a compatible CPU.

It works flawlessly, and coupled with a solid state drive everything is extremely quick. I put this on an intel mother board that provides a parallel port so that I can print to a printer with a parallel port using a very old dos program (professional write) that will ONLY print to a parallel port. So, it is not the ultimate mother board (more usb 3's, etc then the one I have) but yet the 2700K is blazing fast. (Everything happens virtually instantly after a keyboard press, even while on an internet site). If you buy this processor you will be happy. Incidentally, the version I received came with the bios that is current.
